Bode Merrill in "Neverland"

This part is definitely one of my favorites of all time. Bode Merrill has got to be one of the most talented snowboarders to have ever lived. If you don't believe me, check out the last trick in my One-Footers post from a few weeks ago. In his first year with Absinthe he managed to get the ender which is no easy feat!

Don't Do It In the Park!

If you've ever tried setting up an urban handrail or jump you know it attracts a lot of attention, both good and bad. I've been confronted by angry neighbors, annoyed cops, confused pedestrians, and dumbfounded kids but never someone as strange as this guy...

Trailers for the 2011-2012 Season!

The 2011-2012 season is close and snowboard companies are putting the final touches on their upcoming releases. An exciting time for sure because these films are an opportunity to show the snowboard community how the sport has changed and progressed over the past year. First we have a trailer for the upcoming Burton video "Standing Sideways." Legendary rail rider and newly proclaimed Burton am Ethan Diess will have a part in this film as well as Mark McMorris, one of the first riders to land a triple cork. Others include legends such as Terje Haakonsen, Nicolas Müller, and Jeremy Jones.

Kids on Shred Productions, in affiliation with Rome Snowboards, will be releasing "The Shred Remains" this upcoming season. Johnny Lazz is no longer an am and his part promises to be a great one. LNP always knows how to throw down creative and innovative parts; the back one tail grab gap rail midway through looks incredible! Rusty Ockenden, who landed the ender for Sandbox's "Now You Know," will also have a part in this film.
"Vacation" will be Forum's newest video and hopefully it can live up to the popularity of their last release "F IT." Forum regulars like Stevie Bell, Jake Welch, Nic Sauve, Andreas Wiig, and Pat Moore will have parts. Unfortunately John Jackson, who had the ender for the last two Forum videos, doesn't have a part. He is instead filming for the upcoming Red Bull video with Travis Rice and I hope the Forum video doesn't suffer without his presence.
I will post more trailers as they become available. Check out some earlier ones I posted as well!

One-Footers!

One-footers are awesome, plain and simple. Check out this edit from High Cascade featuring Scotty Vine, Scott Stevens, Mike Ravelson, Jesse Burtner, and Bode Merrill. Inverted japan air 720? No problem for Bode!

"Tabarnac" Teaser

The Canadian film company Brothers Factory just released a trailer for their upcoming feature "Tabarnac."  Based on the trailer it looks like it will contain some heavy tricks.  They boast legendary riders as well: Nico Sauve, who had the opener for Forum's "F IT" will make an appearance as well as Transworld Rookie of the Year Phil Jacques.  Others are Burton rider Charles Reid, Jason DuBois, and Jeremy Cloutier.  Make sure to check out Frank April's insane frontside wallride too!

"Ransack Rebellion" Shorts

The Think Thank crew has been putting in a lot of time prepping for their newest movie "Ransack Rebellion" and it has been paying off. Here is a series of clips from their riders. The first one is of Jason Robinson, a rookie on the Think Thank crew who managed to bag the ender in "Right Brain Left Brain."

Next we have Sean Black, former Variety Pack rider who had the opener for "The Leak." Now he's been brought onto the Think Thank crew and his part promises to be a good one.

Next is Jesse Burtner, the mastermind of Think Thank and one footed trickster extraordinaire.

Austin Hironaka has been on the Think Thank crew for several years now and his super smooth style is always a pleasant sight.

Next we have Sam Hulbert, whose great part in the Eastern Boarder video a few years back drew the attention of Jesse Burtner. Great rider for sure!

Lastly we have Pat Milbery, another seasoned member of the Think Thank crew. How long has he worn that helmet? I've seen him wearing that thing for at least five seasons...

Summertime Snowboarding!

While most of us are sitting on our couches trying to find something to do with our summer free time there are lucky people who get to snowboard year round! High Cascade Snowboard Camp is one such place where the lucky gather for some warm weather shred. Check out how much fun these fools are having! This first video features some great riding from Jed Anderson, east coaster Mike Ravelson, and of course Scott Stevens. Backflip rock and roll? Not a problem for Scotty.

Here's another from High Cascade. Good to see Scotty Lago in this one; this guy has such great style in the air. Props to Spencer Schubert as well for a great three on, pretzel three off.

Portland is home to another great snowboard camp known as Windells. I've already posted one video from this camp but here is their second session video. Props to Justin Fronius for some super stylish tricks at the end.

Up in Whistler some hammers have been thrown down as well. Camp of Champions gets a great crop of riders including Joe Sexton, Jake Kuzyk, Phil Jacques (Transworld's Rookie of the Year), and Marc Swoboda. Hammer of the video definitely goes to Matt Belzile for a lofty back rodeo seven. Probably one of the best looking tricks a man can do.  Click here to watch!

Superpark Edits from Snowboarder Mag

Every year Snowboarder Mag throws their "Superpark Showdown," a contest in which different teams compete with one another to see who can come up with the best edit edit at Superpark. This first one comes from Arbor Snowboards. Not the best in my opinion but Scotty Vine certainly deserves respect for this edit. His one-footed exploits are certainly turning heads; make sure to check out his one-footed frontside 720.

Here we've got the ice coasters from Keep the Change. Throwing down a pretty solid edit as well!

Lastly we've got from the boys north of the U.S. border, Nuulife!  Despite the popularity of the Think Thank crew they managed to move onto the next round. Good editing plus a Jay-Z and Jimi Hendrix mash-up? Definitely a winner!

Jess Kimura Capita Clip

Here's another clip for Capita's upcoming movie "Defenders of Awesome." I have to say, Jess Kimura is one bad chick. Watching her slam section in Think Thank's "Right Brain Left Brain" made me feel like such a little wimp. She is tough as they come and has serious skills.

Scott Stevens Capita Clip

So we all know Scott Stevens is the man, but seriously, how is that last trick possible? Here's a short clip of him in the upcoming Capita movie "Defenders of Awesome." Fast-plant finger flips? Bringing it to the next level as always...
